Confeccionando Mosaicos Making Mosaics

Estas fotos mostram algumas etapas na confecção de um mosaico pelo método direto, com a fixação das tesselas de revestimento cerâmico com cola sobre uma base de compensado. As tesselas são cortadas com um torquês e ajustadas às formas do desenho com a ajuda de uma micro-retífica. Após o término da montagem das tesselas, o acabamento é realizado com a aplicação de cimento de rejunte.

These pictures show some stages of mosaic making through direct method, where ceramic tesserae are glued over a laminated wood base. The tesserae are cut with tile nippers and adjusted to fit the format of drawing with the help of a grinder. After assembling the tesserae, there's the grouting phase, where grout is spread all over the mosaic and then cleaned-up.
